The programme.

  1. Days 1–2Auckland

    Arrive Auckland. A ferry ride on the harbour and the Auckland War Memorial Museum, with family rooms or apartments rather than two standard rooms.

  2. Days 3–4Coromandel Peninsula

    Around two and a half to three hours to the Coromandel. Hot Water Beach, where visitors dig pools in the sand around low tide, and Cathedral Cove by boat or on foot depending on current track access — confirmed at quotation.

  3. Days 5–7Rotorua

    About three hours to Rotorua. Te Puia and the geysers, the Redwoods forest, and an evening Māori cultural experience with a hāngī that children are welcomed into.

  4. Day 8Hobbiton to Auckland

    About an hour to the Hobbiton Movie Set for a timed tour, then around two hours back to Auckland for the last night.

  5. Day 9Auckland

    Out from Auckland.
