What is the Queenstown Incentive Programme itinerary?

Five nights in Queenstown for incentive and conference groups: arrival and welcome dinner, a business morning, lake and alpine activities, a Central Otago wine afternoon, a weather-dependent Milford Sound flight day and a gala dinner. Quoted at net rates.

Last updated: 5 October 2026

The shape

Why it runs in this order.

One hotel base for all five nights, so there is no group check-out mid-programme. Business sessions sit early in the week, and the weather-dependent day is placed with a reserve day beside it.

Who it suits: Incentive houses, PCOs and corporate planners with groups of roughly 20 to 150. Larger groups are possible with more planning around hotel blocks and air capacity.

Destination guides on this route: Queenstown, Milford Sound, Glenorchy.

Services this programme draws on: MICE & incentives, Coach & private transfers, Adventure & activities.

Day by day

The programme.

  1. Day 1Queenstown

Group arrivals into Queenstown Airport, met and coached to the hotel. Welcome dinner with a pōwhiri or mihi whakatau where the client wants a Māori welcome, arranged with appropriate cultural providers.

  2. Day 2Queenstown

Conference or business sessions in the morning. Afternoon on the lake or in the mountains — jet boating, a gondola ride or a guided walk — split by activity level.

  3. Day 3Gibbston and Arrowtown

A Central Otago wine afternoon in the Gibbston Valley, with Arrowtown’s gold-mining main street on the way back. Team activities can be built in.

  4. Day 4Milford Sound

Fly–cruise–fly to Milford Sound in small aircraft if the weather allows; if not, the reserve plan runs in Queenstown and the flight moves to day five.

  5. Day 5Queenstown

Free morning or reserve slot, then a gala dinner at a lakeside or vineyard venue.

  6. Day 6Queenstown

Staggered departures, with coach transfers matched to the flight manifest.

Drive and ferry times are approximate and depend on stops, weather and road conditions.
