Who is Explera DMC New Zealand?
Explera DMC New Zealand is a destination management company that works only with the travel trade. Travel agents, tour operators and MICE planners send briefs to one trade desk, which quotes net rates, contracts hotels, transport, guides and experiences across both islands and supports travelling clients 24/7. Nothing is sold to travellers directly.
Last updated: 26 October 2026
One desk, both islands.
The desk covers every destination and service line on this site, from FIT and series groups to MICE, incentives and self-drive. The steps from brief to departure are set out on how we work.
Quotes at net rates
Agents and operators send a brief; the desk replies with a costed proposal at net rates they mark up themselves.
Contracts the ground
Hotels and lodges, coaches and transfers, self-drive, ferries, guides and experiences across the North and South Islands.
Works white-label
Every programme runs under the agent’s brand. We never contact the agent’s client.
Supports clients 24/7
An operations desk travelling clients can reach at any hour, with an emergency contact in every set of travel documents.
