Short answer: Explera DMC New Zealand counts eight events between 7 February and 16 March 2027: System of a Down, Coast to Coast, the Art Deco Festival, Kingston Calling, Ironman New Zealand, Crankworx Rotorua, the Hokitika Wildfoods Festival and three Bruno Mars shows. Hold rooms and coaches early where they overlap, and confirm the two dates not yet settled.
Dates below were checked on 12 October 2026 against organiser, promoter and council announcements. Explera sells no event tickets and publishes no prices; we plan the stay, transfers and programme around the date. The full list is on our 2027 events calendar.
Which events fall in February and March 2027?
- System of a Down, Wellington: Sunday 7 February 2027, Hnry Stadium, with Faith No More as special guests.
- Coast to Coast: 12–13 February 2027, from Kumara Beach on the West Coast to New Brighton in Christchurch.
- Art Deco Festival, Napier: 18–21 February 2027 on the regional tourism listing, while the council page shows only the first two days; confirm the dates.
- Kingston Calling, Mount Maunganui: 19–20 February 2027 at Bay Oval.
- Ironman New Zealand, Taupō: 6 March 2027 on race-calendar listings; confirm the date with the organiser.
- Crankworx Rotorua: 10–14 March 2027 at Skyline Rotorua.
- Hokitika Wildfoods Festival: Saturday 13 March 2027, confirmed by Westland District Council.
- Bruno Mars, Auckland: 13, 14 and 16 March 2027 at Eden Park.
Where do the dates overlap?
On 13 March three things happen at once: Bruno Mars plays Auckland, the Wildfoods Festival runs on the West Coast and Crankworx Rotorua is under way. Between 7 and 21 February, four events fall within two weeks. Rooms in the host towns are likely to tighten around each date, so a group asking for the same weekend should be told early.
How should agents plan around the cluster?
- Hold first, name later. Ask for rooms and coaches with a stated release date, then match names to the organiser's ticketing.
- Plan the transport as well as the bed. Wellington is where the Cook Strait ferries dock, and Christchurch is the gateway to the South Island.
- Check the two flagged dates. The Art Deco Festival and Ironman dates are marked "confirm" until the organisers publish them clearly.
- Allow for the school holidays. See our note on 2027 school and public holidays.
