Race of Champions Wellington and the group file.
Race of Champions puts drivers from different disciplines against each other in identical cars, head to head, on a short purpose-built track. Wellington hosts it at Hnry Stadium on 9 and 10 January 2027, in the middle of the New Zealand summer holidays. The drivers announced so far are Sebastian Vettel, Valtteri Bottas, Chaz Mostert and Hayden Paddon; the full field had not been published when this page was checked.
- It falls in the busiest part of the New Zealand summer, so Wellington rooms, flights and Cook Strait ferry sailings compete with holiday demand as well as with the event.
- Wellington is where the Interislander and Bluebridge ferries dock, which makes the weekend a natural hinge between a North Island and a South Island programme.
- Tickets and any hospitality are sold by the organiser. We plan the programme around them and do not sell tickets.
The stay, transport and programme around the date.
We do not sell the event. We plan the accommodation, the transfers and the days either side so a group can attend without the logistics becoming the story.
- Accommodation sourced in central Wellington, with release dates agreed at quotation
- Coach and private transfers between the hotel, the stadium and Wellington Airport
- Cook Strait ferry and domestic flight sequencing for groups continuing to the South Island
- A programme either side of the weekend: Wellington’s waterfront, Te Papa and Zealandia
Basing decides the file.
Central Wellington keeps a group close to the stadium and the waterfront. Confirm the hotel category, transfer times and event-day access at quotation.
When to start.
Start as soon as the group is known. January is peak summer, so hold rooms and transport early and match names to the organiser’s ticketing before release dates.
