Two days later the band headlines Electric Avenue in Christchurch, which is listed as sold out. Explera DMC New Zealand plans rooms, transfers and touring around the Auckland date for concert groups. The Auckland show was announced on 19 October 2026 and is supported by the Government's Events Attraction Package. ## What are the dates? - **Auckland, Live At The Domain.** Wednesday 24 February 2027, presented by Live Nation, with Ocean Alley as special guests. - **Christchurch, Electric Avenue.** The festival runs on Friday 26 and Saturday 27 February 2027 in Hagley Park. Kings of Leon headline the Friday and Calvin Harris the Saturday. - **Australia afterwards.** The tour continues to Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne from 28 February. ## When do tickets go on sale? For the Auckland show, the published times are in New Zealand time: - **Pre-sales.** A Westpac Mastercard pre-sale opens on Thursday 22 October 2026 at 12pm, and a Live Nation pre-sale on Friday 23 October at 12pm. - **General sale.** Tuesday 27 October 2026 at 1pm. Electric Avenue is listed as sold out for both days. Its organisers say 4,000 extra tickets will be offered to Greater Christchurch residents, with details still to come. We check ticket availability before we quote a package. ![A fan with raised arms in a crowd facing a lit stage at night](https://www.explera.co.nz/assets/blog/festival-crowd-front-stage-night-1400.webp) *A fan with raised arms in a crowd facing a lit stage at night* ## How do groups build a trip around the show? - **Auckland first.** Most groups arrive a day or two before the Wednesday show, so a late flight does not put the concert at risk. - **Clients who already hold festival tickets.** Electric Avenue is two days later, so they can fly to Christchurch on the Thursday or Friday. - **Touring after the concert.** A programme can continue to Rotorua or the Bay of Islands, or fly south to Christchurch, the gateway to Aoraki / Mount Cook, Lake Tekapo and Queenstown. ## What should agents plan for? - **Rooms first.** Large concerts fill hotels in the host city around the show date. Hold rooms as soon as a group is likely. - **Transfers on the night.** Venues and festivals set their own drop-off and pick-up rules. We confirm coach access with the organisers and plan a meeting point for the return. - **A busy month.** Coast to Coast, the Art Deco Festival in Napier and other events fall earlier in February 2027, so book rooms and coaches for the whole trip early. - **Summer weather.** Both events are outdoors. Clients need sun protection, water and a light layer for the evening. ![Concertgoers with raised hands in front of a stage in warm light](https://www.explera.co.nz/assets/blog/concert-crowd-raised-hands-yellow-light-1400.webp) *Concertgoers with raised hands in front of a stage in warm light* ## How Explera DMC New Zealand can help We plan [event travel](https://www.explera.co.nz/services/sports-team-and-event-travel-new-zealand/) and [group tours](https://www.explera.co.nz/services/group-tours-new-zealand/) for travel agents and tour operators, with [coach and private transfers](https://www.explera.co.nz/services/coach-and-private-transfers-new-zealand/).
